Hal-together-now..

There are times when you want to host a party, so you invite the best, most entertaining people you can think of, and it still turns out badly because one of the guests gets murdered.  In this case it was our good friend, Hal Coppone, 

We had a famous singer and a fashion model,  We had superior food and drink and our guest of honor was to be a well known philanthropist, Mr. Coppone, who has given so much money to the needy people of Chicago.

Maybe we shouldn't have invited everyone we did, but we wanted to be sure that everyone who had been helped by Hal were able to show him some appreciation. It turns out that some of the folks had a criminal record, but, Oh Well, the Depression has touched us all in one way or another; am I right?
